Recovery habit
Stay connected.Stay well.
Stay close to your people, one conversation at a time.
- 1 reach-out 3× a week
- Easy Starting level
- 5 min Total time
Not for me Find a better habit
Small daily habits. Big lifetime impact.
A small thing you can repeat beats a big thing you cannot. habb.me is built for the ten-year version of that, not for this week.
- Show up Consistency beats duration. The day you do it badly still counts.
- Trust the process Progress adds up quietly. You will notice it later than it happens.
- Built for you Your body, your pace. The plan is proposed from your own last two weeks.
Use the power of consistency to keep the people who matter close.
Everything else in a busy week has a slot. This is the one that quietly loses.
-
Being known takes contact
Belonging is built out of ordinary contact, not out of the one long conversation you keep meaning to have.
-
A network you can lean on
The people you speak to regularly are the ones who turn out to be there when you need them.
-
Small and intentional
A message that says you thought of someone counts. The bar is deliberately low so that the habit survives.
People who stay connected tend to age better.
Named a public-health priority by the U.S. Surgeon General.
The U.S. Surgeon General identifies social connection as an important contributor to health and wellbeing, while social isolation and loneliness are associated with substantial health risks.
Population-level evidence about connection in general — it does not price any one conversation, which is exactly why this habit is not scored by volume.

The habit
One person. Three times a week.
This habit will not ask you to send three messages. Optimising connection for activity count is how it stops being connection.
Your routine
- 1 min Pick someone you thought about this week
- 3 min Call, message or drop in
- 1 min Log it
Total: 5 min
Did you connect with someone today? — Light · Good · Meaningful — three taps, and the habit is logged.
Your 4-pillar fitness system.
Connection is your Recovery pillar. The other three are here when you want them.
- Strength Build strength.
- Capacity Grow capacity.
- Mobility Move freely.

Quality over activity count
No target of three messages a day. Consistency and quality are what get read.
What 30 days adds up to.
- 13 days you show up
- 13 real conversations in total
- Starting to stick what habb.me would call it
Individual results vary. This is a small habit experiment, not a medical claim.
Your steadier, better-connected you starts with one conversation.
One person today. Start where you are. Build from there.

Social Connections questions
What counts as connecting?
A meaningful interaction: a phone call, a face-to-face conversation, a message that is actually about something, a shared meal, time with friends or family.
Does texting count?
A meaningful message does. A reflex reply probably does not — which is why you log how it felt rather than how many you sent.
What if I am an introvert?
The habit has no quota. One good conversation in a week is a legitimate pattern, and the app reads quality and consistency instead of counting interactions.
